Sarah works with a wide variety of mature adults, helping them get fit and improve their health.
Where she really excels is working with those who may feel physically challenged.
Sarah also specializes in working with individuals with a heart condition known as Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) and other stable cardiac patients.
She’s passionate about moving her clients out of pain and towards healthy movement and exercise.
Most clients first experience Sarah as a personal trainer, and she is one of the most highly trained, experienced and certified trainers available to private clients. She is a passionate and perpetual student, enriching her practice from the best teachers in the field of health and fitness.
In the initial stage of working with a new client, Sarah and the client may establish goals focusing on postural correction, core conditioning and optimizing functional movement patterns. This work typically produces noticeable progress towards one’s goals even in the early weeks.
Some clients will stay at this postural/strengthening level of training with Sarah. As a Health-Oriented Trainer, however, Sarah will suggest greater opportunities to deepen one’s wellness. Monika studied in dance performance at Ryerson University, and although her professional dance career was cut short by a series of injuries, she was determined to see this as a positive change in her life trajectory.
She entered the world of fitness, movement, and bodywork as a way of learning how to heal herself, and in 2012 she created a training program for dancers providing strength training and education in self-care.
Later, Monika worked with post-rehab clientele at a sports medicine clinic helping to bridge the gap between their physiotherapy and fitness goals. Now, as a personal trainer, movement educator, and holistic bodyworker, she uses a variety of manual and movement tools to help people connect their mind and body in a way that promotes better health, reduced pain, and enhanced quality of life.
Monika works with all types of people, of various ages and athletic backgrounds, from professional dancers wanting to perform better, to people suffering from chronic pain and limiting health conditions.
She values specificity and attention to detail and believe it is important to custom tailor her work to meet each individual where they are according to their needs, goals, and interests. Above all, her highest value is to help people connect more deeply with their bodies to accomplish whatever goal is meaningful to them, be it to lift twice their body weight at the gym, address a specific area of their body, or just to move more freely with more energy and less daily aches and pains.

Ryan believes vitality is a constantly moving target, not a product that we can purchase, it’s something we must consistently pursue and practice to experience and enjoy. This is the purpose of Primalign and his practice. Ryan believes, a foundational athletic competency can supply the necessary vehicle to explore, and create this vitality regardless of age and ability.
Through his experience in professional and division I NCAA hockey he has realized that vitality can be felt when the mind is present and the body is prepared for the desired activities and experiences.
What was once hockey and athletics has now shifted to exploring, trekking, surfing, cycling and many other pursuits to continue to use his body to experience this life to the fullest.
It is both his goal and wish for his clients to do the same.
To best achieve the pursuit of vitality, Ryan has incorporated osteopathy, athletic and strength training as well as concepts taken from a bachelors degree in history and global studies.
These disciplines have formed his approach of treating the body’s structures as a whole, and facilitating it’s natural capacity to both heal and improve.
